This fragrance smells white. Yes, white, colour white. BYREDO founder Ben Gorham wanted to explore its nature, purity, and cleanliness. The result is Blanche, one of the brand's most beloved fragrances.
It was the first time Gorham designed a fragrance with someone in mind: his wife. He wanted to capture her innocence. The result is "a fragrance pure and simple in structure, but extreme in personality". There plenty of perfumes that smell like clean clothes. Blanche is in that family. But being BYREDO, it carries a lot more behind than just clean clothes. There are white flowers, there is an aldehyde —Blanche is the only BYREDO fragrance that contains a chemical ingredient—, there is wood... and there is a nose behind this eau de parfum, Jerome Epinette.
We should wear Blanche and, every time someone asked what it is, we should just say it’s white. And let the imagination run wild.
