French Girl Women Founded
French Girl is not a French girl’s brand, but we cannot think of a better name after meeting founder Kristeen Griffin-Grimes. “I wanted to honor that je ne sais quoi of French girls. I wanted to reproduce the free, open spirit and that desire to enjoy the pleasures of each day.” She also honors the French tradition of conscious consumerism.
French Girl is about finding pleasure in our daily skincare. It has products for the face, body, and hair. It is about beauty and guilt-free enjoyment. About respecting planet Earth and business ethics. French Girl is about using organic and sustainable ingredients and testing "on French girls, not animals."
Kristeen thought about launching her own line of skincare products during a long trip to Europe. She went looking for her roots and clicked in her head during her visit to France. It all began with French Girl Knits, a knitting pattern book inspired by French films. Then she took on organizing knitting trips to France. She received botanical education in the meantime and finally began producing her own cosmetics. Kristeen works with organic plant producers, but sometimes she needs to use flowers from her own garden.
