Like all good designs, this has a lot to do with the liquid it contains. Introducing a ground-breaking French perfume maker in a field of tradition —it has appropriately subtitled "Beyond Paris".  

Avant l'Orage aims at portraying the paradoxes in our times. It’s young while it isn’t; it’s floral and it isn’t; it suits day and night. To Maison Matine, Avant l'Orage is a gourmet fragrance.  

Let us tell you what you’ll find in it, and the kind of feelings each ingredient conveys:

• Top notes: pink pepper. Here’s that feeling.
• Middle notes: jasmine sambac, benzoin. Here’s the surrender.
• Base notes: vanilla, sandalwood, tonka bean, musk. The smell of contradiction.

Family: Woody floral.

This French firm takes pride in being formed by many members. The perfumist responsible for Avant L´Orage is Philippine Courtiére, and the packaging has been designed by Mathile Purseigle. 

All the ingredients used are collected following respectful procedures and practices for nature and producers. All fragrances are produced in Paris and Chartres. Cardboard is recycled and recyclable, and no adhesive tape is used.  

Avant l'Orage is just like every other fragrance by this brand: not quite tense, neither pompous. Of course, no distinctions are made about fragrances for men or women, that’s just so passe.
