We asked Novëm founder Maegan Rocca how she would describe her brand to a friend and she was clear: "A clean French skincare brand with a cool background."
Maegan Rocca grew up and studied in Grenoble, in the Alps, and this fact is important. Walnut is the typical fruit in that region. She moved to London to work and continue her education, but soon after she was back in her hometown with a plan in mind: Novëm. Her idea was to create a brand she could trust, a brand that would help slow down the pace of life and that would generate cosmetics benefits and wellness in an easy, sustainable and effective way. And that's where the walnut joins the story. Maegan began to learn more about its benefits on the skin and decided that it would be the main ingredient of her formulas.
Sustainability, the pursuit of wellness, and the celebration of French culture are the three angles of the Novëm triangle. Her first formula was launched in the midst of the pandemic. Le Grain de Noix is a face scrub that she recommends using whenever the skin is dull or needs a little extra care. It takes a lot of confidence to start a brand with just one product in the market, but “there will be more," Maegan says. We are looking forward to it.
Maegan is also the founder of a fashion brand called Les Petits Basics. Their motto? "Imagined for you and designed for the planet." Like Novëm, it is a sustainable brand, appealing and very, very French.
