This brand has its origin in a fright. Years ago founder Rose-Marie Swift, a professional makeup artist with an endless client list including names like Ralph Lauren or Louis Vuitton and photographers like Mert Alas & Marcus Piggot or Annie Leibovitz, fell ill with a strange disease. After many tests, it was found that her blood was full of heavy metals, pesticides, and other chemicals. All possible environments were discarded and then the question arose: "Are you much in contact cosmetics?"
Ever since then Rose Marie has been an activist fighting toxins and chemicals in cosmetics and a kind of mentor for models and celebrities like Gisele Bündchen, Miranda Kerr, or Tilda Swinton. She opened a website, http://www.beautytruth.com/, but her big move was launching her own brand in 2008.
RMS goes one step beyond organic beauty. Based on the principles of raw food and not subjecting ingredients to heat, the healing properties of enzymes, vitamins and antioxidants remain intact. None of her formulas contain heavy metals nor genetically modified ingredients.
The packaging is minimal and everything is biodegradable, recyclable or reusable. Rose Marie's idea was for women to have a brand as pure and attractive as possible but with the best results.
RMS is an easy, comfortable to use, and playful brand, for all types of women, whether or not they know how to put on makeup. It seeks to reveal the best of each face, not to fake it.
Some of her best-sellers are the Living Luminizer, which highlights the skin and the “Un” Cover-up, a product that reveals the skin instead of covering it. RMS is all about natural, vital, healthy faces.
